Storm Eunice LIVE: 90mph winds to hit UK with rare 'Red' danger to life weather warnings in place and people told NOT to travel - latest updates

Multiple red weather warnings are in place as Storm Eunice sweeps across the UK today - with forecasters warning of winds of more than 90mph.

The Met Office has issued a second rare red warning covering London, the south-east and east of England.

Another 'danger to life' warning is already in place for south Wales and parts of south-west England.

In these areas, people have been urged to stay at home amid fears the storm today could be one of the UK's worst in 30 years.

An amber warning is also in place for a large part of the country - including Greater Manchester - until 9pm tonight as well as yellow warnings for wind and snow in Scotland.

Widespread disruption is expected on the roads and railways as the gale force winds lead to flying debris and dangerous conditions.

Most train operators have urged people not to travel or to 'carefully consider' travel, while Transport for Wales has cancelled all services.

The city of Bristol and the Cornwall region have both declared major incidents as they prepare for the onslaught of the storm.

The worst of the weather is expected to hit Greater Manchester from around lunchtime.
