'Stolen' Renault Clio crashes on Bury New Road
Greater Manchester Police Traffic arrested a man in the early hours on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle (TOMV) and drug offences. Officers said in a tweet the Renault Clio had been reported stolen on August 29 from the city.
Officers said the vehicle had made off from road traffic patrols in Whitefield - and later crashed into railings near Bury New Road, causing extensive damage to the vehicle. Police tweeted at 2.32am today: "A male was detained nearby and has been arrested for TOMV and drug offences."
