Stockport beer and cider festival back after three years and heading to Edgeley Park

The Stockport Beer and Cider Festival is to return after a three-year, pandemic-related hiatus, and will happen at Edgeley Park, home to the newly promoted Stockport County. It’ll kick off June 16, before winding up on June 18.

The event is being organised by the Stockport and South Manchester branch of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale. It’ll boast a range of more than 250 beers, ales, stouts, ciders and perries.

There will also be food stalls, competitions and live entertainment. Many of the ales have been sourced from within a 30 mile radius of the festival, among the closest being the iconic Robinsons, which is supplying six beers, alongside Stockport Brewing, Thirst Class and Steelfish Brewing.

Organiser Jim Flynn said: “After the uncertainty of the last two years, it’s a great relief to be bringing back a huge variety of different beers, ciders and perries to the people of Stockport and further afield.
