'Still not done' - Ruben Dias warning is bad news for Man City's rivals

Ruben Dias insists motivation won't be an issue for Man City as they look to defend their historic Treble triumph over the upcoming season.

The Portuguese defender wrote his name into the history books with his starring role in City's greatest ever moment, though he is not in the business of self-gratification ahead of the challenge to go and do it all over again.

It is undeniable that complacency is an obvious concern for a club that has effectively 'completed football', but that ignores the world-class mentality of the players that helped them achieve it in the first place. City dealt with the pressure exceptionally well throughout last season, especially during the enthralling finale that saw them wrap up three major titles in quick succession.

By virtue of their brilliance, they are well placed to go again in the next campaign, and the frightening warning from Dias is that their success will only be a massive help towards doing it again rather than a hindrance to living up to such pressure.

"After winning a Treble, there is no greater pressure than what we already had," he tells reporters during a chat in Tokyo. "One big thing at this club is to finally win the Champions League. That will mean less pressure. It’ll be something good for the team, pursuing the dream again. We usually say as a joke, “it’s just another day at the office”. The pressure will come; there will be tense moments, but we’ve been there and done it. That works as an extra plus, not a minus."
