Stewartry gymnasts have super day competing in Fife

Girls from Stewartry Gymnastics Club had a super day competing in Fife on Saturday.

It was also a trip down memory lane as it was there the club took part in their first competition when it was founded six years ago.

In age six to seven girls, Isla and Kayleigh showed off some lovely routines.

Kayleigh kept her cool as it was her first ever competition after only recently starting sessions with the club.

The age eight to nine girls had a fabulous day.

There was joint sixth for Grace, Eilidh and Sophie on vault and joint second for Lucy and Poppy on vault. The judges told coach Megan that they thought the vaults were of a lovely standard and had enjoyed judging the Stewartry girls.

To top it off, Lucy, Eilidh, Martha and Faye finished third.

The age 10-11 girls smashed it, with Olivia third on vault, first on floor and first overall. Alaina, Olivia, Maisy and Elsa finished first as a team after some fabulous performances from all four girls.

The age 12+ girls also had a brilliant day. Freya was super in her first competition, winning third on vault, with Freya, Erin, Anelle and Ruby placing second as a team.

Special shout of the day goes to Anelle, who took part in her first competition after some time away from gymnastics. She held her head high on vault after a fall and her team-mates and coaches are very proud to have her back on the competition floor.
