Steven Gerrard's Rangers love affair continues as he shares craving for Ibrox memento

Steven Gerrard's love affair with Rangers seems to be as strong as ever, with the former boss sharing his desire to get his hands on a picture frame containing lyrics from a famous Ibrox song.

The Liverpool legend now manages Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq having previously led the Light Blues to the Premiership title in 2021, ending bitter rivals Celtic's quest for 10 championships on the spin in the process. Gerrard left the club after jumping at the chance to take up the reins at Aston Villa in November 2021, only to lose his job less than 12 months later.

The ex-England skipper is now on a reported £15.2million-a-year contract, having extended his stay in the Middle East to 2027 earlier this year. But the 44-year-old has taken to social media to share his continued affection for the Govan club after calling on fans to help him get a hold of a framed picture of the lyrics to "The Blue Sea of Ibrox."

In a post on his Instagram story, Gerrard posted a photo of the picture frame with the caption, "I need this picture" followed by a union jack emoji. Rangers fans were quick to pick up the post, with one fan writing: "Steven Gerrard on Instagram, miss him" while another replied: "He wants to come home!"
