Steve Cooper sets James Garner next challenge after FA Cup display vs Leicester

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper has set Manchester United loanee James Garner a new challenge after starring in the win over Leicester City.

The Reds youngster provided an assist for Forest skipper Joe Worrall who nodded home the third against the Foxes, moments after Garner put his delivery on a plate for the defender who misjudged the header.

Garner starred in the comprehensive 4-1 win over the FA Cup holders as they booked a fifth-round tie with Huddersfield.

But the former Swansea boss issued a task for the 20-year-old ahead of their crucial play-off clash with Blackburn Rovers.

"He's in a good moment Jim [James Garner], he's doing well, we're really pleased with him.," he said speaking to Nottingham Forest's club media.

"I don't think just been today, he's in a real good run of form and I don't mind saying that because you can see how hard he's working, he won't get carried away.

"He knows as much as everyone he needs to play well against Blackburn on Tuesday, that's when you can become a real proper player when you've been able to put in performance after performance and not much think too much about the past and get on with what's next.

"But yeah, pleased for Jim, as you said at the start of the question, it's difficult to pick anyone out really, there was so many individual performances."
