Steve Clarke WILL support England at Euro 2024 but Scotland boss explains why he will snub Serbia clash

Steve Clarke admits he will be supporting Gareth Southgate and England during their Euro 2024 opener against Serbia.

But the Scotland boss admits he is unlikely to catch most of the game as he looks to prepare his squad for the crucial match day two clash with Switzerland as he continues to dissect the thumping defeat at the hands of Germany. After the 5-1 mauling, Clarke knows that four points will be required from clashes against the Swiss and Hungary to stand a chance of reaching the knockout round, but before facing Murat Yakin's men on Wednesday the Scotland boss was put on the spot about the Three Lions.

Asked if he will be watching the England game and who he will be supporting, Clarke responded: “I wouldn’t think I will be watching the England game tonight to be honest because I have a pre-dinner meeting and a post-dinner meeting. Maybe I will catch the second half. Who are they playing?”

A member of the SFA media team then reminded the boss Serbia: “Serbia? I think I will be supporting Gareth and his boys.”
