Steve Clarke press conference LIVE as Liam Cooper hands Scotland fitness boost

It was doom and gloom the last time Scotland played at Hampden as Northern Ireland inflicted defeat back in March.

But Steve Clarke and his men will be desperate to avoid a repeat as they look to whip the Tartan Army into a frenzy optimism in their final game before heading to Germany.

It's a Euro 2024 send-off party and Finland are the visitors to Mount Florida on this occasion and anything other than a victory will spoil the joyous mood.

Clarke pulled a bit of a surprise on the eve of the friendly as he called up former Celtic and St Mirren man Lewis Morgan, currently with New York Red Bulls.

Scotland have suffered huge injury problems with Lyndon Dykes and Ben Doak both ruled out having been included in the original squad.

So we know that, with the squad back up to 28, two players will have to go before the final squad is named.

Lyndon Dykes and Ben Doak pulled out with injury but the call-ups of Tommy Conway and Lewis Morgan mean it's back to where it was when it was originally announced.

We're assuming that one goalkeeper will be cut - that won't make a huge difference, as tournament rules allow for a fourth goalkeeper to travel in reserve, who can then be called up if there's an injury.

It means that one outfield player will have to go as things stand.
