Steve Bruce outlines West Brom plans for the remainder of the transfer window

West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Bruce has said he thinks his side still need another two or three signings this summer.

The Baggies have already made some eye-catching signings in recent months, snapping up the likes of John Swift, Jed Wallace and Okay Yokuslu, among others.

After a tricky start to the campaign, though, and the odd injury here or there, Bruce feels his side need more.

“In my opinion we still need another two or three,” the Baggies boss explained, via BirminghamLive.

“I’ve told supporters there won’t be millions to spend, we know the market we’re in, we’ll do our best.

“There’s not a lot swashing around, when you speak to other managers in the Championship, a lot of them are struggling after Covid and all the rest of it, it’s hard work.

“We’re in a difficult market, but there’s nothing to be frightened of.”

West Brom’s next opposition come in the shape of Derby County tonight in the Carabao Cup before facing Huddersfield Town in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

It won’t come as a surprise to Baggies fans that Steve Bruce is eyeing further transfers this summer.

The club missed out on the likes of Liam Delap and Keinan Davis lately, and with Daryl Dike injured, the striking department is looking quite thin.

The Baggies could perhaps do with a left-back, too, with Conor Townsend their only senior option at present.

With just four senior central defenders on the books, the heart of defence is an area that could also be look to be strengthened in terms of depth, and the same could be said for the centre of midfield.

Plenty of work for Bruce and his recruitment team to potentially do in the next week or so.
