Stephanie Roche recalled by Ireland for Georgia Women's World Cup qualifier

Stephanie Roche has been recalled by the Republic of Ireland for their Women's World Cup qualifier against Georgia on 27 June.

Roche, who won the last of her 55 caps in 2019, has been in great form with Peamount United and scored a hat-trick in their win over Sligo Rovers last weekend.

Ireland boss Vera Pauw has handed a first call-up to Durham goalkeeper Naoisha McAloon while defender Diane Caldwell returns after missing the draw away to Sweden in April.

Wexford Youths pair Aoibheann Clancy and Ellen Molloy are unavailable due to sitting their Leaving Certificate exams while Pauw is also without Savannah McCarthy, Megan Campbell, Aoife Colvill, Rianna Jarrett, Leanne Kiernan and Kyra Carusa due to injury.

Ireland travel to Turkey on Wednesday for a training camp and will play a friendly against the Philippines in Antalya on Sunday as part of their preparations.

They then fly to Tbilisi on 25 June ahead of the game against Georgia, which is live on RTÉ television and Player. Ireland were 11-0 victors when the countries met in Tallaght last November.
