State-of-the-art entertainment venue with live music, karaoke and 'first' robot DJ launching in Manchester

A brand new, state-of-the-art entertainment venue is set to open in Manchester later this year. This September, a 'next-generation' social space will open its doors at the Printworks in the city centre.

Named Spider Box, the new space will feature live music and karaoke, a quiz panel show and the UK's first 'digital human DJ. As well as various entertainment spaces, there will be a car racing suite, and numerous food and drink options.

Taking centre stage will be the performance area which will feature a weekly line up of live music, showcasing local artists and bands from across the North West including a residency from Dex, the UK’s first digital human DJ.

Meanwhile, bookable karaoke booths will allow guests to sing their hearts out against a backdrop of changeable landscapes including music videos and headline performances from music festivals.

Switching up the music quiz format, visitors to Spider Box will also have the chance to immerse themselves in their own music quiz panel show housed 'tech-infused' booths. Rounds can be customised to suit the players and will be updated regularly with new challenges and games.

The new space will also feature a dedicated SIM racing suite for all budding Lewis Hamilton’s to take on racing challenges on some of the best tracks and circuits in the world. Six state-of the-art simulators will provide a 'real-world' racing environment, for entertainment, but also for skill development and training.

Rob Hetherington, CEO of Spider Entertainment commented: “We are thrilled to be bringing Spider Box Manchester to Printworks this September. We have considered multiple locations across the UK
