St Patrick's Day LOI fixtures will include derby games

Derby fixtures will dominate the League of Ireland Premier Division programme on St Patrick's Day in 2023 as more details have been revealed for the new season.

Champions Shamrock Rovers will take on St Patrick's Athletic on Friday 17 March as the Saints make the very short journey to Tallaght Stadium.

There will be an all-Louth clash of Drogheda United and Dundalk at Head in the Game Park.

Sligo Rovers will have the shortest journey of their season as they travel the 137 kilometres to the Ryan McBride Brandywell to take on FAI Cup holders Derry City.

Elsewhere Bohemians and UCD meet in another Dublin fixture, while Cork City take on Shelbourne.

In the Women's Premier Division there will be the highly-anticipated first meeting of champions Shelbourne and the newly-formed Hoops on St Patrick's weekend.
