St Pat's league games re-fixed in light of European run

St Patrick's Athletic's upcoming league fixtures against Dundalk and Drogheda United have been rescheduled in light of the Inchicore side's progress in the Europa Conference League.

The league confirmed this afternoon that their away trip to Oriel Park this weekend has been switched from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon (25 August, 3pm), as has their subsequent home game against relegation battlers Drogheda (1 September, 3pm).

Stephen Kenny's team defeated Azerbaijani outfit Sabah 2-0 on aggregate to book their spot in the Europa League Conference round, in which they host Istanbul Basaksehir in the first of two legs in Richmond Park next Wednesday.

Shamrock Rovers' progress in the Europa League has already forced the rescheduling of next week's Dublin derby away to Bohemians, which will take place on Sunday at the novel kick-off time of 11.30am, due to a concert in Croke Park.
