St Mirren learn Conference League second qualifying round opponents as Buddies land trip to Iceland or Albania

St Mirren will start their European adventure with a two-legged tie against the winner of the tie between Valur and FK Vllaznia in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

A superb campaign under Stephen Robinson in 2023/24 saw the Buddies wrap up fifth spot in the Premiership with two games to spare, securing European qualification for the first time since 1987. The Paisley side found themselves in the seeded part of the draw alongside the likes of FC Copenhagen and Go Ahead Eagles of the Eredivisie, and will now take on either Icelandic side Valur or Vllaznia of Albania for a place in the third round.

Valur finished second in the Icelandic top-flight last seasons while Vllaznia secured their qualification after coming through a European play-off in the Albanian Kategoria Superiore. St Mirren will play the first leg away from home on Thursday, July 25 with the return fixture at the SMISA Stadium coming seven days later on Thursday August, 1.
