Spurs' Richarlison accused of punching Sevilla player

Richarlison was accused of punching a Sevilla player during Tottenham’s friendly on Saturday.

Spurs drew 1-1 against their Spanish opponents in Suwon, with Harry Kane’s second half opener being cancelled out by Ivan Rakitic.

But on the stroke of half time, tempers flared between both sets of players.

Son Heung-min appeared to accidentally elbow Montiel in the face, causing a cut. As the referee signalled for half time, Montiel confronted Son. The South Korean responded and a little scuffle ensued.

Richarlison, who has only been at Spurs a matter of weeks, stuck up for his teammate and has been accused of punching a Sevilla player.

Footage from behind shows Richarlison retaliating to Sevilla’s protests as he appears to throw a little jab. Whether it was a jab or a push, Spurs fans were loving his commitment to the club so early in his career.
