Spurs now want to sign 'unplayable' star at all costs, club already working to find replacement

According to information courtesy of Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli (via AreaNapoli.it), there has been a big Tottenham Hotspur transfer development involving Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

The Lilywhites and their manager Antonio Conte have been in the hunt for a centre-forward alternative to Harry Kane since the January transfer window, with journalist Alasdair Gold describing the pursuit as a real priority.

Links to the likes of Jonathan David and Alvaro Morata have come to light since then as Fabio Paratici reportedly sets his sights on bolstering Conte’s attacking options.

Sharing a development, Radio Kiss Kiss now have some very interesting news involving Osimhen.

As per the Italian source, via Area Napoli, Conte is personally eyeing a move for the Nigeria international, who Spurs now want to sign ‘at all costs’.

Amid serious interest from the Premier League, it is claimed that Napoli have ‘already set to work’ on his replacement if he does leave for England.

Tottenham’s apparent determination to sign Osimhen comes as a promising claim, going by his stellar Serie A performances over 2021/22.

The 23-year-old stands out by some distance as Napoli’s most threatening player in the Italian top flight this season, scoring more goals (11), averaging a higher rate of shots per 90 (3.3) and accumulating the highest overall match rating (7.17) out of anyone in their squad (WhoScored).

It is little wonder that football scout writer Zach Lowy branded Osimhen ‘unplayable’ during the current campaign and it’s even less of a mystery why Conte allegedly wants the striker at Tottenham.
