Springboks' year-end Test versus Ireland already sold out

Ireland revealed that tickets for the Springboks' visit to Lansdowne Road for a meeting with the current world number one team have already sold out.

Through their verified Twitter account, Ireland announced that both South Africa and Australia's visits to the country in November this year have been snapped up.

The Boks face Ireland in Dublin (5 November), France in Marseille (12 November), Italy (19 November) and England at Twickenham (26 November) during their year-end tour to Europe that includes a tour game against the Bristol Bears on 17 November.

Ireland made history last weekend when they beat the All Blacks 32-22 in Wellington to seal their first series win in New Zealand, a week after winning their first Test match there.

It was also the first All Blacks home series defeat since 1994 and was New Zealand's fourth loss in their last five Tests.

The Springboks, meanwhile, saw off Wales in a three-Test series after winning the decider in Cape Town, while the Wallabies lost theirs to England 2-1.

Ireland took the World Rugby top ranking spot with the historic series win, pushing France to second and South Africa, who started the winter international window at No 1, were relegated to third place. New Zealand are fourth, the lowest position in their history.
