Springboks v All Blacks: Ticket prices for Cape Town Test range from R250 to R3 500

Tickets for the Springboks' highly anticipated Rugby Championship Test against the All Blacks in Cape Town later this year will range between R250 and R3 500.

SA Rugby announced on Friday that tickets for the Test will go on sale to the public on 19 June, following a public registration process.

The Test at Cape Town Stadium will take place on 7 September.

SA Rugby is expecting a high demand for tickets and has therefore opted on a public registration of interest which will be held from 27 May to 9 June.

"A ticket ballot process will be conducted to ensure a fair process as well as to reduce the number of secondary resales, ticket fraud and illegally counterfeited tickets, with various physical and digital safety controls to be put in place," SA Rugby said in a statement.

SA Rugby feels this process is the "fairest way" of giving fans a chance to purchase tickets.

"This system will also reduce the number of frustrated customers stuck in the queue for what will be a high-demand event," the statement continued.

"Registration of interest is an entry into the ticket ballot and does not automatically secure your tickets, but a place in the draw; successful applicants randomly selected from the draw will be invited to purchase up to four (4) tickets per customer on a first-come, first-served basis.

"All registrations are treated equally, so it does not matter when in the registration window you complete the process, but only one registration per customer will go into the draw."

There will be seven price categories of tickets, starting at R250 as the cheapest and R3 500 as the most expensive.
