SPFL in Hearts and Hibs Viaplay Cup sweat as Euro schedule sets capital rivals on same day collision course

SPFL chiefs are facing a scheduling sweat after last night’s Viaplay Cup draw threw up the possibility that both Hearts and Hibs could be forced into action in Edinburgh on the same day.

Rangers have landed a home tie after being drawn against Dougie Imrie’s Morton while Premiership rivals St Mirren and Motherwell will also square off in Paisley.

Fresh from shocking St Johnstone 4-0 on Saturday, Stirling Albion now host Aberdeen while Livingston take on Ayr United and Ross County head to Airdrie,
