‘Special’ Liverpool starlet is ‘ready-made’ Salah replacement – Carragher
Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool starlet Harvey Elliott is a “special player” and he is a “ready-made replacement” for Mohamed Salah.
The youngster made his debut in senior football for Fulham in the EFL Cup when he was just 15 years old. In May 2019, he made his Premier League debut for the Cottagers when he was aged 16.
Elliott signed for Liverpool ahead of the 2019/20 campaign. He enjoyed a superb season last term while on loan in the Championship with Blackburn Rovers.

The midfielder was involved in 18 goals from his 41 league appearances for Rovers. He returned to Liverpool ahead of this season and he was one of Jurgen Klopp’s favoured midfielders right away.

The 18-year-old’s progress was hampered in September as he sadly suffered a serious ankle injury.
Elliott has now fully recovered from this injury. He was named in Liverpool’s starting eleven for the first leg of their Champions League knockout round tie against Inter Milan.
Speaking ahead of this game, Carragher compared Elliott to the likes of Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler:
