The top destination for UK sun-lovers is bringing in new dress code rules which could mean fines of £500 for those not following them in bikinis or swimming shorts. The new laws say what people can wear in public, with the chance of fines if they don't stick to the rules.

As the summer season is nearly here and many UK families are planning their holidays, they're being warned to remember these new rules. They're not just applicable for Barcelona, but for other places all over Spain, and cover wearing bikinis and walking around without a shirt in public places.

It's acceptable for visitors to wear their beach clothes at the beach or by the hotel pool. But, when walking around town, they might want to think about changing their swimsuits for normal clothes.

Everyone knows how hot it can get in beautiful Barcelona, with temperatures often reaching 30C in the summer so it's fair to say many holiday makers prefer to show a bit of skin while out and about in the sunshine, reports the Mirror.

But travel experts have warned that local authorities may not be pleased with certain types of clothing, according to Birmingham Live.
