Southern Counties East round-up: Premier Division victories for Whitstable Town, Erith Town, Welling Town and Rusthall

Two-goal Jefferson Aibangbee on Saturday guided Whitstable to a big Premier Division victory at Kennington which extended their unbeaten league run to six games.

Dean Grant, Josh Oliver, Jordan Wells and Rodney Adamon-Eruotor - from the penalty spot - as well as Sheppey loanee Aibangbee, were on target in the 6-1 success at Homelands for Marcel Nimani’s men, who are up to third.

James Haylock-Ashdown struck midway through the second half for the hosts, who also had a substitute sent off on a tough afternoon.

Fifth-placed Erith Town earned a 1-0 victory at Holmesdale.

Having beaten Lordswood 1-0 in midweek, with keeper Mackenzie Foley saving a penalty, while Steadman Callender scored the only goal, Saturday saw another clean sheet and another Callender goal in the 88th minute.

There also was an Erith debut for 16-year-old Hayden Bullas.

Sixth-placed Glebe earned a 2-1 success at K Sports.

Marcel McDonald and Riley Asaam had put the visitors in command before Adrian Brown pulled one back.

A dramatic finish saw Phoenix Sports 2-2 draw at home to runaway frontrunners Erith & Belvedere.

Tashi-Jay Kwayie put fourth-placed Phoenix ahead, but goals from Nathan Palmer and Tyrell Richardson-Brown looked to have earned the away team the points.

That was until experienced striker Andy Pugh came up with a 97th-minute leveller.

Noah Hamelberg scored the only goal for Welling Town who won 1-0 at Lordswood, who had Kyle McDowall sent off for two cautions.

High-fliers Stansfeld and Deal played out a goalless draw.

A Yassin Fares double guided Rusthall to a 3-0 triumph over basement boys Canterbury City.

Tarik Ibrahim struck in between Fares’ two goals for the hosts.

Fisher claimed a 3-2 victory at Sutton Athletic.
