Southampton make definitive move with offer for Tottenham target Mattias Svanberg
Southampton have made an opening offer of €10m for Bologna midfielder Mattias Svanberg, claims a report in Italy.
Svanberg, 23, was a big hit in Serie A last season and after four progressive seasons in Serie A his time looks to be ripe to move on.
The former Malmo man has one year left on his contract, but Bologna are not set to offer him a new one as they look to raise some funds.
Tottenham have been linked with a move for the international team-mate of Dejan Kulusevski.
Fabio Paratici was reportedly looking at a deal for the 23-year-old in January. However, the club ended up landing Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus instead.
But Italian outlet 1000 Cuori Rossoblu reports that Tottenham renewed their interest in the player.
And now, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Southampton have placed an offer on the table for Svanberg.
