'Sources have told us' - Sky Sports issues interesting Luis Diaz update at Spurs

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has been discussing Tottenham Hotspur and their interest in Luis Diaz.

Goals are something that Antonio Conte’s men have struggled with so far this season, as only one player has been able to get into double digits for goals in all competitions this season – that being Harry Kane.

That statistic is reflected in the fact that Spurs currently have the fewest goals of anyone in the top seven of the league at present, with 26 from their opening 20 games.

However, it looks as if they could solve that situation with Diaz, who has apparently become a target for them as the window begins to wind down, according to TalkSport.

The 25-year-old certainly knows where the goal is, having scored 41 in his 125 appearances for FC Porto so far, including 16 so far this season.

Speaking on Sky Sports News’ The Transfer Show, Solhekol revealed some of the details behind Spurs’ chase for the Colombian and seemed to hint that the deal was possible – but that the clubs weren’t quite seeing eye to eye when it came to their valuation of the player.

He said: “Spurs are in talks to sign Luis Diaz from Porto. Portuguese sources have told us that Spurs are willing to pay €45m for him plus €10m in add-ons, so that is a total of €55m. Porto, I think, want about €60m, so the two clubs not that far apart.”
