Souness says ‘top class’ Chelsea star has proved Blues fans wrong: ‘What a boy’
Graeme Souness believes Mason Mount is “top class” and has proved the Chelsea fans, who apparently doubted him, wrong with his perfoamances.
Mount put in a classy display at Elland Road on Wednesday night as Chelsea brushed Leeds aside 3-0 to all but secure Champions League football next season.

The England international opened the scoring with a brilliant finish into the top corner, before setting up Christian Pulisic for the second of the game.
Mount has had his doubters, mainly fans of other clubs, but Souness claimed it was the Chelsea supporters who have been proved wrong by the 23-year-old’s consistent quality.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Souness said: “What a boy this is. I think he’s top class.
“I remember a couple of years ago the Chelsea supporters doubting him. There’s nothing to doubt about him.
“He’s energetic, he’s a workaholic, he’s got great skills, an eye for a goal and eye for a killer pass – he’s just a top player at such a young age.”
