Souness calls out ‘pathetic’ Chelsea player in victory over West Ham
Graeme Souness has criticised Chelsea midfielder Jorginho after his limp penalty was saved in their 1-0 victory over West Ham on Sunday.
The Italy international missed a penalty four minutes from time after an incident that saw Craig Dawson sent off for a challenge on Romelu Lukaku.

And Souness thought Jorginho’s attempt at a penalty was a demonstration of exactly how not to take a spot-kick.
“Pathetic. It bounces before it gets to the goalkeeper,” Souness said on Sky Sports. “That’s exactly how not to take a penalty. Poor penalty.”
Fellow pundit Kevin Campbell added on the decison to award a penalty: “I thought it was a bit harsh.
“I think the contact’s outside the box but Lukaku’s so strong, his power takes him into the box. It’s that last contact that spins him around. Lukaku’s so strong he gets his arm and it’s that last bit of contact that spins him around.”
