Soul Hackers 2: The Calling: Release Date, Gameplay and Everything We Know So Far
Soul Hackers 2: The Calling is set to release later this year.
The game is a spin-off from one of the longest-running JRPGs out there, titled Shin Megami Tensei.
There have been a variety of spin-offs to SMT, including Persona, but Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers was released initially in 1997 on the Sega Saturn.
And there is now set to be a sequel to the cyberpunk hit, with the game releasing in 2022.
We’ve taken a look at everything we know for Soul Hackers 2: The Calling so far.
Soul Hackers 2 is set to release on August 26, 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
The release date was announced along with the reveal trailer and will come out simultaneously in Japan and the West.
Soul Hackers 2 is not coming to Nintendo Switch.
There are two main trailers for the game thus far.
The announcement trailer revealed the core cast of characters and the game’s futuristic aesthetic, as well as the game’s colourful art style.
The second trailer has shown a deeper look at the combat that will feature in the game, along with the enemies you’ll be battling throughout Soul Hackers 2.
The story to Soul Hackers 2 has essentially been revealed on the game’s official website, although there remains some real intrigue as to how the game will play out.
Under the heading of “investigate the end of the world”, Atlus say: “Explore a supernatural RPG with stylish summoners and dark dangers lurking under the neon lights of a cyberpunk Japan. It is up to the agents of Aion to decrypt destiny and save the world from apocalypse.”
