'Something we have to mention' - Fabrizio Romano issues Raphinha claim at Leeds amid reports

Leeds United winger Raphinha has shown the Yorkshire club an awful lot of respect amid the transfer reports surrounding his future. 

This is what football journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed on the Que Golazo YouTube channel when discussing the Brazilian’s options this summer.

It is believed Barcelona are working on a deal to take the 25-year-old winger to Camp Nou this summer, but the two sides are still a distance away in their valuations.

Having spent two seasons at Elland Road, the Brazilian is now being linked with a big move away from Yorkshire this summer, with a number of clubs said to be interested.

And although the transfer noise has surrounded the winger for a number of months now, Romano highlighted Raphinha’s attitude shown towards the Whites.

Romano said: “He’s really respectful with Leeds. This is something we have to mention, because it’s a good point, I think, it’s not for all the players – to be that professional in some situations, and he’s been really incredible. So I’m sure that Leeds will help in case they will get a very good proposal and will let him go.”

Raphinha certainly played a huge role in Leeds’ 2021/22 campaign as they were able to salvage their Premier League status on the final day of the campaign.

With Leeds crippled by injuries throughout the season, in particular to Patrick Bamford, the Brazilian had huge pressure on his shoulders to help keep his side in the top flight.

And he certainly did that with 11 goals in the Premier League, which included a huge goal on the final day against Brentford which proved huge in their bid for safety.
