Sofyan Amrabat gives reaction to disappointing start to Manchester United's season

Sofyan Amrabat believes that Manchester United's results might have been better this season 'with a bit more luck'.

United have already suffered six defeats in 11 games this term and the Reds' remarkable, dramatic 2-1 victory against Brentford thanks to Scott McTominay's brace was important to lift the mood before the international break.

Amrabat signed for United from Fiorentina on deadline day and he's played at left-back in recent weeks due to the injury crisis.

The 27-year-old was asked about United's disappointing start to the campaign and although he didn't want to make any excuses for the results, he suggested things might have been different with some luck.

“I think I can say a lot of things, but I don't want to use them as an excuse,” Amrabat told Premier League Productions. “I think in life, but also in football, it never goes always only good, or top. You always have a moment that maybe it will be a little bit difficult, and now I think it's a bit like that at the moment.

“But we just started. We still have a very long season, a long way [to go]. I think we have played good games [and had] a lot of positive and good things. Maybe with a bit more luck, we’d have won the games that we didn't win.
