Snetterton BSB: Triple win puts Ray in title driving seat

Bradley Ray put himself firmly in the favourite’s seat for this year’s Bennetts British Superbike Championship with a hat-trick of victories at the weekend, his first ever treble in the series.

The Rich OMG Yamaha rider brought his Cadwell Park form, where he took a brace of victories, to the Norfolk venue and whilst none of the race wins were handed to him, he hit the front at the right time in each race to take the chequered flag first. Pole position got his weekend off to the perfect start and the Lydd rider saw off the challenge of reigning champion Tarran Mackenzie each time to take over at the top of the title standings. “It’s been a mega weekend and to take my first BSB treble is a real career highlight,” were a jubilant Ray’s first words at the conclusion of the meeting. “The team and I have had a really good year so far and these results set us up nicely for the next nine races.
