A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just after 3pm this afternoon (Monday, February 12) firefighters were called to reports of a building fire on Victoria Road, Salford. Five fire engines alongside the ‘scorpion’ appliance from Salford fire station arrived quickly at the scene, which involved the first floor and roof of a semi-detached property.

"Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used three hose reels to extinguish the fire before dampening down and making the scene safe. GMFRS was in attendance for four hours.”
