Sky Sports pundit 'fearful' of Huddersfield Town's play-off chances

Former Premier League midfielder Jobi McAnuff believes Huddersfield Town's hopes of securing a Championship play-off place have been hampered by a three game winless run. A draw against West Bromwich Albion was followed by back-to-back defeats against Milwall and Bournemouth.

The Terriers remain fourth in the division but the likes of Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest and QPR have games in hand. It could be argued that the international break has com at a good time for Carlos Corberan's side but they know their destiny is in their own hands with two of thee three aforementioned promotion rivals still to play.

McAnuff is worried that Town may lose their mojo heading into the final few games of the season with a crucial run of fixtures ahead of them

Speaking on the latest episode of the Sky Sports EFL Podcast, McAnuff said: “I’ve always felt Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and again a couple of weeks ago I would have said Huddersfield Town for me would at least have been in the play-offs.

“But they’ve had a couple of bad results and performances not at the level we’ve seen with them so I would be a little bit fearful for them. I probably won’t go flat out, I’m going to see Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Forest and then it’s going to be one of how many we could say, probably four or five others, you know it’s crazy at the moment.”
