Sky slashes price of Apple AirPods in flash '£4 deal'

Apple has had a monumental week, launching its shiny new iPhone 16 range with four stunning handsets. Alongside the new phones, Apple has also released a fresh pair of AirPods, but a rare deal might tempt fans to stick with an older model.

This is all thanks to Sky Mobile, who have slashed the price of the AirPods (2nd Generation) to a jaw-droppingly low price. Just £4 per month to be precise, a cost that could persuade shoppers to opt for the older pair.

Typically priced well above £120, the Sky Mobile contract provides a more budget-friendly way for customers to get their hands on the earphones, at a reasonable pay-per-month price. At £4 per month, this equates to mere pennies a day, 13p to be exact.

Of course, choosing the 2nd Generation AirPod pair will come with some outdated features, but the excellent audio quality, connectivity, and reliable battery life make them a popular choice.

If you did want to hold out for the newer model pre-orders, then here's what you'd need to know. The new iPhone 16 line-up has been complemented by the stylish AirPods 4 with its open-ear design and the option to choose the more advanced Active Noise Cancellation pair too, reports the Mirror.

As the Mirror tech team states: "Apple's second and third-generation wireless earbuds just got a major upgrade, with the tech giant introducing coveted features like active noise
