Sky feels the heat and reduces Glass deal to £14 following Amazon's new Fire TV UK launch
Sky has updated their deal packages for their popular Glass product following the launch of Amazon's new Fire TVs. Amazon now have three brand new Fire TVs available to buy in the UK and all are said to rival the Sky Glass.
The new Amazon Fire TVs , the Omni QLED Series, Fire TV 4-Series and Fire TV 2-Series, hit the UK market in Amazon's new Spring Sale, which launched at 6pm on Monday (March 27) and will run for three days. Amid the Amazon sale, several retailers have begun to offer their own deals to go head to head with the competitive prices on offer on the online retail giant's website.
Following the Fire TV launches, which all feature 4K Quantum Dot Technology (QLED) display, hands-free Alexa controls and more, Sky has lowered the price of their Sky Glass offer to £14 a month, while also throwing in a freebie.

TV lovers can now get three months free of Sky TV and Netflix, which would usually cost £26 a month, for free when they sign up to the Sky Glass offer. The £14 package includes a 43 inch Sky Glass TV and the Sky TV and Netflix package.
This means that users will only be paying £14 for the Sky Glass while getting all the channels that would normally carry an extra fee, free for three months. After the three month period the TV package will cost £26 which would take the total deal to £40 a month but if you've already got Netflix you can cancel this as the Sky package includes Netflix within the price.
Sky Glass comes in three sizes, a 43 inch small, a 55 inch medium and a 65 inch large. There is also five colours to choose from which include: anthracite black, ocean blue, racing green, dusky pink and ceramic white.
