Sir Jim Ratcliffe could sell player that changed Roy Keane's mind about Man Utd

The potential departure of Manchester United's talismanic captain Bruno Fernandes this summer could incite a fury in Roy Keane.

Fernandes has had quite the immense contribution for the Red Devils since 2020. But despite his consistent output, the 29-year-old midfielder was notably missing from Sir Jim Ratcliffe's list of 'untouchable' players – a group that includes young talents Rasmus Hojlund, Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho, reports the Mirror.

Since his introduction into English football, Fernandes has netted 79 goals, along with crafting an additional 66 assists, garnering him attention from Paris Saint-Germain. They reportedly 'really appreciate' the star player, as per L'Equipe, who also name Jadon Sancho as another potential target for PSG.

The possible exit of the Portuguese international will undoubtedly upset a vast section of United followers, as well as club icon Keane. Lauding Fernandes for his notable influence in United's fortune, Keane has lended credit to the skipper for his adjustment to football life in England.

His first six months at United saw him tally up 12 goals in 22 games, steering the squad towards a 14-game unbeaten run, which culminated in a third-place finish in the Premier League table and secured Champions League qualification.
