Sir Alex Ferguson's time at Manchester United in an official capacity will come to an end following the conclusion of the 2024/25 campaign. The legendary manager won 13 Premier League titles during a 26-year spell at Old Trafford, also lifting five FA Cups, four League Cups, two Champions Leagues, the Club World Cup and a World Club Championship.

The Scot was the club ambassador following his retirement from the dugout, earning a whopping £2.165million during his first eight months as a United ambassador. Sir Alex has had other business interests outside of football to maintain his income stream after retiring as a manager in 2013.

But how much is the former United boss worth, and what has he done since retiring from the game? Ferguson has his own business - ACF Sports Promotions Ltd - with sons Mark, Darren and Jason listed as directors. Sir Alex's late wife, Lady Cathy, was also on the directors before she passed away aged 84 in October 2023.

As per the latest financial reports, ACF has £24.3m in assets and investments. The figure for the year to the end of June 2023 was up on the £22.7m held 12 months before - a £1.6m increase.

The nature of its business lists "other sports activities" - with Sir Alex earning money from book deals, speaking at events and personal appearances since retiring from his position as United boss. ACF has cash reserves of £5.1m and paid £188,832 in corporation tax. It also owns £2m worth of football memorabilia which is on show at various museums and universities.
