Simple Simon vs Ed Matthews: Fists thrown at press conference after rude gesture

British TikTok sensations Ed Matthews and Simple Simon came to blows during a press conference on Wednesday.

The duo, who are set to headline a boxing match at the O2 Arena on July 16, had to be separated by security after Matthews appeared to produce an adult toy and presented it to his opponent, real name Simon Colbran.

The gag was a continuation of their ongoing feud, which has largely revolved around Matthews taking jibes at Colbran and his daughter Keeley.

During the press conference, Matthews said: “I’ve got a present mate, I thought Keeley would be here. This is the same size as mine, but she can’t have the real thing yet, so here you go.” 

At this moment, Matthews presented his rival with the adult toy, to Colbran’s disgust. The latter responded violently, throwing a left jab at Matthews who briefly broke free of the security guard’s grip to deliver a blow of his own.

Although the security brought an abrupt end to the altercation, and prevented the bout taking place prematurely, the crowd was left buzzing with excitement, roaring as the duo exchanged shots.
