Simon Jordan in fresh dig at Rangers boss Michael Beale but Ibrox 'turncoat' earns begrudging QPR respect

Simon Jordan has taken another pot shot at Rangers boss Michael Beale - with the pundit branding him a "turncoat" for leaving Queens Park Rangers for Ibrox.

However, there was some slim praise offered to the Londoner and his spell in the Loftus Road dugout following a talkSPORT interview with QPR managing director Lee Hoos - who confessed the club facing a relegation scrap this season in the English Championship. After stepping into his first management job, Beale turned QPR into promotion contenders before he opted to make a return to Rangers where he had previously served as Steven Gerrard's No.2.

At the time that move irked former Crystal Palace owner Jordan after Beale had professed his loyalty to QPR when he was offered the Wolves job. Since then, Jordan has continued his feud with the Gers boss taking digs at the Light Blues during his public spat with Chris Sutton and following last season's trophyless campaign.

And he has refused to drop the issue with another pointed dig following Jim White's chat with Hoos. The Championship club supremo conceded that boss Gareth Ainsworth faced a tough task to keep the club in the second tier with some of the big-spending clubs alongside them this term.

Jordan then went on: "It's a testament to the job Mark Warburton was doing and the old turncoat Michael Beale, because the team has gone backwards significantly since that time. You wonder how this club is struggling, ok they got themselves into Financial Fair Play trouble and had to pay tens of millions but I don't expect QPR to be tipped for relegation."
