Silva claims Arsenal is ‘good move’ for forward even with Gunners lacking a ‘winning mentality’

Club legend Gilberto Silva has argued that a switch to Arsenal would be a “good move” for Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus.

The Gunners are in need of at least one new striker this summer. It was claimed earlier this week that they had ‘agreed personal terms’ with Jesus. 

His future at Man City is in doubt as his contract is set to expire in 2023. If he stays, he will likely play less next term considering that Pep Guardiola’s side have signed Erling Haaland for £51m from Borussia Dortmund.

Siva played 244 times for Arsenal between 2002 and 2008. He lifted the Premier League and FA Cup during this spell.

The Brazilian thinks a move to Arsenal would be good for Jesus’ career:

“If he goes to Arsenal, I do believe it’s going to be a good move for him, also for Arsenal,” Silva told talkSPORT.
