Should parents avoid bringing babies to concerts and shows?

Last week saw widespread debate online after a comedian asked parents not to bring babies to 'adult shows' following a disrupted performance at the Edinburgh Fringe festival.

Matt Forde, who also features on Spitting Image, sent out a tweet saying he had received messages from other show-goers about the issue.

Following the widely shared post, which received 22.1k likes on Twitter, we want to know if you think parents should not bring babies to comedy shows and other performances mainly targeted at adults?

Let us know what you think in the comments section.

On the incident, Forde tweeted: "Sadly it derailed large parts of it because they wouldn't do the decent thing and just leave when it started crying. I get that it must be tough as a new parent but please, don't bring babies to adult shows. It's always a problem."

Many of our readers were in agreement, with one person saying: "I totally agree with him, only a selfish parent would take a baby to a show. Inconsiderate, and they should have left at once!"

Another added: "Like it or not he's right..."

However, some responded with disappointment, with one person replying to the initial tweet saying: "I feel a bit sad for the parents of the child here. Honestly I can imagine the intense anxiety and upset seeing this would have caused.

"Of the many ways you could have solved this, you chose the most humiliating and shaming."
