Shopper uses 'life-changing' hack for food shop – but people point out big flaw
An innovative man discovered a unique method to save money on his grocery shopping.
Ejay Hernandez, an American TikTok creator, shared how he uses ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, to compile a grocery list tailored to a specific store and budget.
He requested a shopping list that would provide enough food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two weeks. In a video on TikTok, Ejay encouraged others to use the AI tool for their grocery shopping, although reactions were mixed.
Speaking in the video, he said: "Okay, I’m going to hold your hand when I say this. You need to use ChatGPT for your grocery list. It is a lifesaver."
As an example, he asked ChatGPT to create a grocery list with a $70 (£56) budget for two weeks. He added: "You can also adjust it to be like but you know I want this meal for like whatever.
"You could also say I want it to be protein heavy. I want it to have not a lot of carbs. I want there to be a lot of fibre involved."
Ejay explained the chatbot will provide specific product recommendations and can even detail the grams of protein each meal contains. It also offers substitution options.
The Los Angeles-based TikTok influencer exuded enthusiasm about the budgeting tool, remarking: "It is so great with substitutions because it’s like if you don’t want a certain thing in your meal you say ‘I don’t want that, can you change it to this instead?'
