Sherlock added to Dolan's Westmeath management team, McFadden to link up with Sligo
Former Dublin ace Jason Sherlock has been appointed as performance coach for the Westmeath footballers.
Sherlock was formerly part of Jim Gavin's coaching team with Dublin while he was also close to taking on the vacant Monaghan manager’s job earlier this year.
Speaking in September shortly after withdrawing from the Farney County race, Sherlock said that management was not his sole ambition and he would consider different roles, and new Westmeath manager Dessie Dolan has been a beneficiary of that.
Dolan’s backroom team was confirmed tonight with Sherlock being joined by John Keane, Cathal Mullin, Mick Dillon and Andy Meares on the coaching side of things.
Elsewhere, 2012 Donegal All-Ireland winner Colm McFadden has joined Tony McEntee’s Sligo management team.
The 2012 Football of the Year nominee will act as a forwards coach for the 2023 season.
