Sheffield Wednesday team v Wigan Athletic confirmed as Florian Kamberi returns

Sheffield Wednesday manager Darren Moore has named his starting XI to take on second-placed Wigan Athletic this evening.

Moore has made one change to the team who beat Burton Albion last time out. St Gallen loanee Florian Kamberi has been handed a first-team recall, with Nathaniel Mendez-Laing dropping to the bench.

Kamberi will partner Callum Paterson in attack as the Owls target a fourth successive victory.

Moore is without 10 first-team players through injury, including Harlee Dean, Dominic Iorfa, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Josh Windass. Key forward Windass has confirmed today his hamstring knock is not as "bad as first feared".

The four-goal forward posted on Twitter: "Well I thought I was out for the season and now I’m not, that’s all I’ll say."

Wigan is the first of three home matches in eight days for Wednesday.
