Shawn Michaels was full of praise for new WWE signing Logan Paul over ‘great’ debut

Logan Paul has officially signed with the WWE, putting pen to paper in the presence of Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

He made his WWE debut at WrestleMania 38, teaming up with The Miz to take on Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio in a tag team match.

The pair were victorious, defeating the Mysterio duo to get the accolades on the biggest stage the WWE has to offer.

After the match, The Miz turned to Paul and attacked him, laying the foundations for a storyline between the pair.

The Miz has claimed he would happily team up with Paul again, however, he’s already said he’s coming for The Miz so we’re likely to see them step in the ring to go head-to-head.

WWE icon Shawn Michaels has followed in the footsteps of The Undertaker and made an appearance on True Geordie’s Podcast.

He was asked about the Paul debut, delivering his honest assessment saying: “I was as well [impressed by Paul], I’m glad you brought it up because again, look, it’s always a question I know to people when we bring in celebrities from the outside and now I will say I think the celebrities really make a big effort to make sure they adjust to our sport well.

“And he did a fantastic job, I will say this, I wasn’t that surprised by it because again, if you’ve watched him in boxing and almost everything he does, he jumps into it full board.

“He’s one hundred per-cent committed to everything he does so I wasn’t surprised by it but at the same time he really did do a fantastic job.

“And again, everything we do isn’t easy by any stretch and especially if you’re going to do it just once, again I always found you know, people would always ask me, that’s why Taker and I, I was always impressed with the way he would go a year off and come back for WrestleMania.
