Shaw Heath in Stockport closed due to 'police incident' - latest updates
The area between Shaw Road South and Adswood Lane in Shaw Heath, Stockport, has been closed due to a police incident. The decision was made shortly before 1am today and the nature of the incident is not currently known.
It is also not known whether anyone was injured in the incident, or when the road will be reopened and the traffic flow will be returned to normal. Motorists are being asked to consider using Wellington Road S / Buxton Road as an alternative route.
A tweet from Transport for Greater Manchester at 12.58am today read: "Shaw Heath, Stockport closed between Shaw Road South and Adswood Lane due to a police incident. Consider using Wellington Road S/Buxton Road as an alternative route."
