Shaw, Evans, Mount - Manchester United injury news and return dates ahead of Crystal Palace clash
Manchester United will be targeting a fourth successive win in all competitions when they welcome Crystal Palace to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
United maintained their recent upturn in fortunes with a routine 2-0 win over FCSB at the National Arena in the Europa League on Thursday evening. Second half goals from Diogo Dalot and Kobbie Mainoo wrapped up a last-16 place for Ruben Amorim's side.
United's focus now immediately switches back to the bread and butter of the Premier League and attempting to record back-to-back league wins for the very first time this season. Ahead of the game, here is all the very latest on the injury front...
Injury: muscle
Shaw participated in Wednesday morning's open training session in front of the media at Carrington ahead of the win over FCSB. However, the Europa League clash arrived too soon for him to be involved and he was not included in the 21-man squad that travelled to Romania.
Speaking ahead of the win over Southampton in mid-January, Amorim said he expected Shaw to be back within the next two weeks but later clarified that related to when he could be back in training. The England international is moving in the right direction and it is not impossible that he could be included in the matchday squad against Palace.
Speaking after the win over FCSB, the United boss said: "It can take a little bit more time. I think he needs to train more, to spend more time with his team-mates playing even like normal, small-sided games, not just working alone.
"He stayed there [at Carrington] to make a different type of work, he's going to get together with the team when we arrive and start from there. When I feel it is the right moment, we will start with some minutes in the games."
