Shaun Maloney rues Hibs ref Alan Muir as he claims BOTH Aberdeen penalty calls were wrong

Shaun Maloney has hit out at referee Alan Muir after the whistler sent Ryan Porteous off and gave Aberdeen two penalties.

Hibs took the lead at Pittodrie but the game turned on its' head thanks to a double of penalties from Lewis Ferguson.

The first was given for a handball on Rocky Bushiri while the second saw Ryan Porteous sent off for bringing down Ross McCrorie.

Confirming Hibs will appeal Porteous' suspension, Maloney - whose team went on to lose 3-1 - says Muir got all the big calls wrong.

He claimed: “In the last half hour being down to ten men, it skews the feeling. But the game changed with two decisions.

“For the first penalty, the ball hit Rocky’s knee before it hit his arm. The rules mean it shouldn’t be a penalty.

“It was definitely a penalty with Ryan but he made a genuine attempt to win the ball, so he shouldn’t be red carded. The two decisions change the game.
