Sharon Osbourne leaves UK as husband Ozzy contracts Covid

Sharon Osbourne put her TV show on hold and flew back to LA after her husband, Ozzy, was diagnosed with Covid. Sharon has been forced to put her commitments on hold for a family emergency, just three days after launching her new evening show, The Talk.

The TV star made a decision to jet back to LA saying she's "very worried" about her husband, who has suffered from various health issues over the years. The 69-year-old said she will make a return on air in a week, and will put her work aside to help Ozzy recover from his illness.

The Talk, on newly launched TalkTV, airs on week nights at 9pm. Despite ratings dropping by 9,000 after just three episodes, Sharon made the sacrifice to be with her husband during this critical time, saying family "is my life".

Sharon broke down in tears in a video shared by the Sun, saying: "Ozzy was only diagnosed in the middle of the night our time. I spoke to him and he's OK. I am very worried about Ozzy right now."

She continued: "We've gone two years without him catching Covid and it's just Ozzy's luck it would be now."

Sharon added: "My family is my life. I can't believe my luck. I'm missing the show and I've only been there three days."

The 69-year-old may attend the TV show, which she hosts alongside former ITV talk show host Jeremy Kyle, via a video link.

The show has failed to attract a considerable audience, with reports suggesting less than 10,000 people have tuned in to episodes during the launch week.
