Shannon Sweeney guarantees medal on busy day for the Irish
Shannon Sweeney has guaranteed herself a medal at the European Championships after stopping Slovakia's Nicole Durikova.
Sweeney dominated the fight in Montenegro, with the referee forced to give her opponent a standing count in the first. Another two standing counts in the second saw the bout ended early, much to Durikova's dismay.
It means guaranteed bronze for the Mayo woman, who could still improve on that with a victory in the semi-final.
It's a busy day for Team Ireland with four more women in quarter-final action across the day.
